This book deals with the physio-chemical fundamentals for the treatment of materials by lasers and with thermo-chemical advantages of the destruction of non-metallic materials by lasers. It explains the methods of cutting and boring. In addition it gives the technological specifications of the machines used for cutting, thermal cutting of glass, boring, adjustment of the rated values of the electronic circuits and other technological processes.

The first chapter of the book contains the theoretical fundamentals, equations and laws necessary for understanding of the physical and chemical processes during the treatment of the materials. Therefore it is foreseen for students studying for a degree at technical universities and for engineers and specialists in this field.
