18 - Mobile Communications Design Fondamentales Author:
William Lee Translated:
Dr. Eng. Z. Saiid Sileiman This
book deals with the design fundamentals of mobile radio communications and with
the different factors affecting the quality of communications and their
influence on the design of the system and the calculation of the energy required
to design the communication systems in the different environments. It discusses
the optimal utilization of the frequency spectrum, the allocation of channels
and the use of Earling-tables B and C to define the number of channels and the
quality rate of the system. All this is explained mathematically and
experimentally and the experimental results are compared with the mathematical
calculation. The differences, if any, are explained. The book deals also with
the traditional and micro cellular communication systems and the personal
services, the mobile telephone and the mobile earth to satellite communications.
It discussed further more several other subjects relevant with the mobile radio
communications. This
book is one of the few books in Arabic in this field. Each chapter contains some
questions and exercises. It is herewith suitable for students studying for a
higher degree and also for engineers and researchers on these systems. |
