This book deals with the most wide spread diseases in the Arab countries. In the translation of the original book the diseases unknown in our countries were neglected, in addition to those diseases were source books in Arabic are available. It deals with the general clinical considerations, paratism, nutrition, and etiology, with comprehensive study of Malarya, virus diseases and in particular Hepatisis, bacterial diseases, such as Cholera, Typhoid fever and Tetanus, as well as mycosis and nutrition diseases. The book includes four annexes on synopsis of etiology and therapy, signs and symptoms with possible causes, considerations for travelers and immigrants-relative risk and incubation periods-, as well as exotic communicable diseases with a review by region.

The book is useful as source book for physists and for students studying for higher degree in medicine. It is translated by well-reputed physists in Syria
