Part I of this book consisting of three parts deals with the theoretical fundamentals necessary to understand the methods of gravimetry and magnetism and their applications on the questions of geophysics, mining and technical geophysics. The theoretical fundamentals of these methods are given without going into mathematical details in order to avoid complexity and loose concentration. The book explains also in brief the gravitation and magnetism field of the earth at the scale of the globus, while it does not play the first role in the field of applied geophysics.

This book is addressed to students of applied geophysics and those involved in earth sciences, geophysical application and mining.
